Sponsor our Bookshop

The Scribbled Hollow is a fantasy, scifi, and fandom bookshop located in Arizona. We have been mobile vendors at comic and anime cons since 2012. We sell books (of course) but we also sell gifts and accessories - many that we make ourselves or purchase from other small businesses.

 

The dream has always been to own a community bookstore, somewhere we can throw poetry slams, author signings, and hold game nights. Somewhere local book clubs can meet and where one can hold classes. And we've obtained a physical store front in historic downtown Glendale!

 

Now comes the part where we need floors, paint, bookshelves, and more product! We are hosting a sponsorship program here on our website where folks can purchase a sponsorship that gives them product and lots of perks! Our first sponsors paid for our first and last months rent, allowing us to obtain the location.

Sponsorship Program FAQ

  1. What is the sponsorship program?

    • It’s a fundraiser rather like a Kickstarter or Indiegogo but we decided to host it ourselves on our own website.

    • Our sponsors receive products and perks as part of their sponsorship.

    • The money raised will be used to open our brick & mortar bookstore!

  2. Do I get the physical items from the sponsorship – even if you don’t open your shop?

    • Yes! But the great news is, our first sponsors already paid for our first and last months rent and we secured a location in Downtown Glendale, AZ!

  3. I don’t know about this sponsorship stuff. Do you just have a fundraiser?

  4. If you already have your store, what else do you need?

    • Floors! Paint. Shelves, shelves, and more shelves. Counters, tables, and chairs. Some equipment (our register iPad is 13 years old & a bit slow). And more product – especially books!

  5. I bought one sponsorship, but decided I wanted something else in one of the higher tiers. Should I buy a second sponsorship?

    • No! Please reach out to us and we will work with you to upgrade your sponsorship so that you don’t have to pay for the same thing twice.

  6. Quotes

    • Each quote will be verified for accuracy and correct attribution

    • Quotes should be no longer than 2-3 sentences at most

    • We reserve the right to deny specific quotes at our discretion

  7. How do I select image(s) to go on my sponsorship items?

    • We have a large library of images to choose from, a small selection of which can be viewed in our Look Book here: https://www.pinterest.com/TheScribbledHollowLookBook/

    • When you receive your sponsorship questionnaire we ask for a few fandoms and interests so we can present you with a selection

    • We will work with you to find something great that you love!

  8. What if I want to do a custom image?

    • We will absolutely work with you to do custom images. In fact, some of the tiers even come with a custom allowance!

    • If you purchase a tier that doesn’t come with an allowance, our custom fee is usually $2-10.

    • Decency, respect, and kindness is to be expected

    • Rules such as no politics or fighting will be in place

    • We reserve the right to remove someone who violates rules or is disruptive

    • Sponsors have an exclusive section just for them!

  10. Returns & Exchanges

    • Sponsorships once purchased cannot be returned

    • Physical items that have a quality issue can be exchanged

    • Coupons, vouchers, and the like cannot be exchanged for money
